3M 4991 VHB tape is a multi-purpose acrylic adhesive with a conformable foam core. It can replace rivets, welds and screws. The double-sided, closed-cell acrylic foam tape with a PE film liner is strong, highly conformable and pressure-sensitive. It bonds high and medium surface energy substrates such as exterior metal skins. Use it for bonding painted as well as unpainted metals, and higher surface energy plastics.
